  the true part is that the jw community does come together at times of crisis to help each other, no critique of that.

  Will it ever be possible for this earth and it`s inhabitants to be free of any kind of religion ? Would you welcome it ?

  i know it`s certainly not going to happen in our time or even our childrens ,childrens time , but surely eventually, it must come about.. religion , all religion has been nothing but a curse on this planet , and humans will never reach their full potential until they eradicate all forms of religion .. of course the theists will insist their have been great acheivments in science, astronomy, the arts etc.

  ,to a large part by the educated religionists of their day , however the masses were deprived of such education .if the masses had received the education of the priveledged few religous scholars ,we may well have been enjoying a new golden age of enlightenment already.. note : i am talking about all religions of the world not just xians ,judaism, muslim ,etc.

  but all religious persuasions.. just my 2 cents worth.

  Humans will always worship something whether its a rock a tree or an invisible cloud man. What really needs to stop is people expecting and demanding that everybody else has to worship the same damn thing.

  what are the JW rules once baptised??

  on my other post 'thinking of becoming a jw' people mentioned that once i was baptised i would be told / given rules of what i can / cant do, things like: how i act, dress, how i can have sex with my husband??

  what i can and cant eat ( according to some research ive done).

  i would be really interested to hear as many of these rules now - as i think its too late after one is baptised.. i would be grateful of as many as possible about anything any topic even thouse i havent mentioned.. thanks x.

  Kate, like others said before, the "rules'' of living are far less a problem than the fact that you cannot even have a private thought that is different to what ever the Governing Body tell you.

  From a letter to elders, sept 1 1980: "keep in mind that to be disfellowshipped, an apostate does not have to be a promoter of apostate veiws.... If a baptized christian abandons the teachings of jehovah, as presented* by the faithful and discret slave**, and persists in believing other doctrine...then he is apostasizing"

  * Subject to change without notice **now the Governing Body members (8)

  Add to that, the Watchtower magazine of 1 august 2001: "A mature christian...He does not advocate or insist on personal opinions or harbor private ideas when it comes to Bible understanding"

  Alarm bells should be ringing loud and clear girl. This IS NOT some alternate religion you can be with to worship God. This IS a high control group that will micro manage your every thought and action. They will mess up your life, it is too late for you to go any further with them. What you have seen on this site and others cannot be unseen and will stay with you as doubts that will pop up later and will have to be squashed or you will end up, in one year or ten, in a very bad way as they try to kick you out if you dont shut up, or lose a husband who wont stay with you...

  there is cloaking technology now, like the invisible car, etc if you google and search around, based on cameras, mirrors, etc.

  so my guess is probably cloaking technology for aircraft now too?

  so oftin i recall being excited about all the cases that were won in the name of jehovah.

  i would talk with my dad and ask him how could it be possible that the supreme court judges haven't become witnesses.

  it made no sense to me, that these men and women were not moved by all the wins that the organization was piling up.

  They fought for their own rights and others got to benefit thats all. Thats why they dont care a squat about others, its their history, their nature.
